Only Together Campaign

World Immunization Week 2021

Situational Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the countries and populations around the world, including Lebanon, adding to the burden of vulnerable groups and people living in poor conditions even prior to the pandemic.
On the national level, COVID-19 has further intensified, highlighted and exposed fundamental inter-sectorial complex problems in various areas of social, economic, civil and political life. And with COVID-19 continuing to surge, now more than ever we are in an immense need to boost vaccination rates at the local scale. With that being said, successful implementation and robust vaccination campaigns require the ultimate optimization of public-private partnerships.
Driven by the aforementioned, Global Compact Network Lebanon and in line with the #OnlyTogether campaign of the United Nations (UN) and on the occasion of World Immunization Week (24 to 30 April) has rolled out a digital campaign aimed at creating awareness on the importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening domestic resource mobilization towards boosting the local vaccination campaign.

Why we joined forces with the #OnlyTogether Campaign?

The broader aim of this digital campaign was to amplify the word of #OnlyTogether and create awareness on the instrumental role the private sector assumes in boosting the vaccination campaign and rates at the local level. It came as a corporate activism aimed at forging the necessary public-private partnerships as a strategic way to strengthen domestic resource mobilization in the vaccination processes.
This digital campaign was able to endorse and feature top notch experts from the health, academic and corporate sectors.
