SDG Brain Lab Programme

Objective of the Programme

In line with the United Nations Global Compact Network Lebanon’s mission, the SDG Brain Lab sheds light on the importance of Global Goals by empowering Lebanese youth to advance the Ten Principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Lebanon and the region while offering them the exposure they need for future employment opportunities.

Youth are the leaders of tomorrow, and our mission is to equip them with the required knowledge while providing an interactive, holistic program led by professional coaches, experts, practitioners, and trainers.

What does the SDG Brain Lab entail?

Currently in its second edition, the SDG Brain Lab is open to all Lebanese citizens between 18 and 24 years old, and consists of three interactive hubs available to students according to their areas of interest and field of expertise:

Open to all participants, the Training Hub equips students with the soft skills needed for them to complete their sustainability journey in line with the UN 2030 Agenda.

It includes 7 interactive modules addressing essential skills (e.g., design thinking, emotional intelligence, public speaking, etc.) as well as other relevant topics (e.g, the circular economy, entrepreneurial mindset, etc.).

Last but not least, students can expect immersive sessions about the implementation of the 17 SDGs intended to be achieved by the year 2030.

The Brain Hub offers a dynamic and challenging journey revolving around social entrepreneurship in a corporate setting where participants are trained to find sustainable solutions and assist in solving various issues faced by local companies.

The Data Hub is designed for data-driven, research-oriented students to learn about effective surveying, interviewing, audience targeting, analyzing, pitching, and report drafting.

By participating in this hub, students receive tailored training around research methodologies and report writing to then assess the awareness of employees on their respective companies’ best practices.

Outstanding participants have the opportunity to be nominated as Ambassadors of Change for the year 2023 where they will lead initiatives on sustainability in their respective universities and immediate environment. Finally, and depending on their engagement and commitment, they can also benefit from internship opportunities with our participating companies and NGOs.
