SDG 3: Good Health and Well Being 

Roads For life partnership: In order to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by road traffic accidents, BLC Bank sponsors the training of members from both the Lebanese Red Cross and ISF to help victims efficiently during the Golden Hour that follows an accident.

The Post Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) program by Roads For Life has been launched in 2013 and to date, more than 300 paramedics have followed the training. During the 9 first months  of 2018 alone, close to 100 members from the ISF and Lebanese Red Cross have been trained as part of the First Responder Course with new trainings on the way.


SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production

BLC Bank is Committed to develop environmentally friendly products and encourage the spreading of renewable energies by providing green loans that cover a wide range of eco-friendly possibilities. This segment has witnessed a 238% increase over a period of 3 years.

The Bank has established a set of procurement policies aiming to protect the environment, empower women and Lebanese SMEs and deal with likeminded suppliers.


SDG 15 : Life on land

BLC Bank plays an active role in the reforestation efforts of local NGOs:

Collaborating with Jouzour Loubnan through continual funding and the organization of forestation days. All in all, BLC Bank’s contribution has helped plant more than 17000 trees. The project also includes the drip irrigation, maintenance and guardianship of replanted areas.

Helping the Lebanese Mountain Trail Association in its efforts to empower and protect our rural areas by the adoption of one of the sections of the LMT.
