The services and programs listed below are delivered on the basis of inclusivity of people of all religions, nationalities, genders and sexual orientation, ethnicity and socio-economic background.
Under SDGs 3 and 10, Good Health and Well-being and Reduced Inequality:
- Provision of evidence based addiction treatment service to over 500 individuals annually
- Provision of well susbtance use harm reduction interventions amongst the community at large
- Capacity building of other organization including governmental entities on addiction and related service provision
Under SDGs 3 and 4, Good Health and Well-Being and Quality Education:
- Implementation of positive skills building curricula in private, semi-private and public schools across Lebanon
- Implementation of drug awareness activities in schools, universities and community groups across Lebanon
Under SDGs 3 and 10 and 16, Good Health and Well-being, Reduced Inequalities, and Peace and Justice Strong Institutions:
- Campaigning for the Lebanese drug law reform to ensure the protection of the human and social rights of people with a substance use related problem as well as risk youth
- Capacity building and support for governmental entities to improve practices related to substance use in the country from healtcare provision to prevention to judiciary
Our CSR Activities
Up until the 2019, Skoun was working mainly with local banks and companies within their CSR to support the substance use treatment and prevention activities, however, since october 2019, local funding has been cut until further notice, causing a major gap in annual budget. Skoun is currently working on filling this gap, through internal restructuring, budget cuts, and revised fundraising action plan
