Dr. Richard Maroon

President, Hy-phen Canada

Dr. Richard Maroon is an accomplished executive with a well-versed experience in the Built Environment sector; having to his name many carrier accomplishments in operations, projects and business development management.

In 2012, he founded “Hy-phen Canada”, a business development & management consultancy company in Toronto; servicing energy, infrastructure and construction firms, across the Middle East, North America, Europe and China. In parallel to his engagement with Hy-phen Consulting, Dr. Maroon has assumed executive leadership roles at Cornerstone Group – Lebanon since 2009, focusing on sustainable real estate developments.

Dr. Maroon is a Professional Engineer, who earned his Master of Science in Civil Engineering, an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration, aside from various professional accreditations in project and facility management, real estate development and environmental stewardship.

Dr. Maroon is an active member and board member of many social, philanthropic and professional organizations such as the American Project Management Institute (PMI), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the Lebanese Maronite League, the Canadian Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO), and the United Nations Global Compact Network Lebanon (UNGCNL), among others

Aside of his core professional engagements, Dr. Maroon has been always enthusiastic towards sustainability, in its social, economic and environmental aspects; thus, eager to continue advocating sustainable cities and communities with the UN Global Compact Network Lebanon, as well as architectural conservancy and heritage cities with ACO Canada.
